Secret Sounds is the launch track for Screaming Maldini’snew EP. The video pretty much speaks for itself, but I hope you get an idea of the good fun we had while making this. I just loved scripting to such a cool, high-energy track (with a 5/4 time-signature even!), and the band were also a joy to work with.
Blam. Last week, I directed and produced a music video for the band Screaming Maldini . I love their song “Secret Sounds” and the whole thing’s a real pleasure to be editing at the moment. So you know, I’m using some lovely Thaumatrope illustrations, jump-cuts, period costume, and, of course, a few surprises.

Since releasing my Olly The Octopus video, the ever-verbal YouTube community has given it a hearty reception. And now it’s nice to see the charity single released on ITunes, complete with my illustrated album art! Very official.
Ta da! Just finished a music video for the semi-ironic protest singer/songwriter Olly the Octopus.
The video is for his Charity Christmas Single, “A Call To Arms For Hippies”. It’s lo-fi like a blow fly, but hopefully rather charming. Let me know what you think!
Ok, a few notes on this. I was the Production Designer and Animator on this Music Video, not the director. Online release was very slow so it’s also a little old now, but as a low budget one continuous shot video, I still think it’s pretty cool. Credits and other details here.
