Very pleased to announced that Sons Of Atom will be playing at the Brooklyn Film Festival.
It feels like a long time since we finished the film, but I’m really glad to be having our American premiere in good ol’ Brooklyn. Dates and deets here.

Bradley Manning Had Secrets will be appearing in a few festivals in the next few months.
Check it out at the BFI London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival at their Radical Constitution programme of experimental shorts. March 26th!

Meanwhile – in Holland – the film’s already had a very successful screening at the Rotterdam International Film Festival last month. Plus, it’s in competition at the Holland Animation Film Festival, also playing at the end of March.
I’ll try and keep you updated with festival selections as they come in. Very nice seeing it on the big screen – big pixels!

After a lovely screening at the BFI on Wednesday, my new pixelly-semi-documentary film is availble to watch and share online.
Hope you find it thought-provoking/moving/over-stylised or all of the above. All the info about the film can be found here.
NB. Releasing this on the same day that Bradley goes to trial is pure coincidence. I really wish him the best.

I’m going to finish a new short film this week!
Bradley Manning Had Secrets is an animated personal portrait of Bradley Manning, not as the Wikileaks “hacktivist” but as a young soldier going through a crisis-of-conscious and a crisis-of-gender-identity.
This is my first non-fiction piece – all the dialogue is taken from Bradley’s online conversations with Adrian Lamo. I’ve also taken on a new graphic style: rotoscoping live-action footage into minimalist pixel-art.
This is all made possible by Animate Projects who have commissioned the film. They’re also hosting a few Making Of Videos for it.
The film premières at the BFI on Wednesday 14th Dec. Book your tickets now!

I’ve finally decided to release Internet Story. That’s right, my latest short film is now on a website, and can go into your brains!
Given that it’s about the Internet, it’s really about time it was online. Read about the festivals and all else here.

Ka-boom! We’ve just finished prinicipal photography on my next short film Sons of Atom.
It’s been a long process from first draft to filming, and I’m really pleased with how it’s all going.
With child actors, period setting, shooting on RED, this really feels like a step-up for me as a filmmaker. And we’re sure to have a great film at the end of it!

Read more about the film here, and become a fan for further updates.
